Community Rules & Guidelines

Breaking the below rules & guidelines can result in removal from Discord Server

Discussion Quality

First and foremost, the Academy Discord is a place to improve at the game. With this in mind, we must be vigilant in how we talk about our experience with games, even frustrating ones.

Avoid general questions such as:

  • “What do I do when my bot lane loses?”
  • “How can I carry when my lanes all lose?”
  • “What do I do when I get level 2 invaded”

Instead, post the clip in the ⏯︱vod-questions channel and a WTL Coach or Mentor will respond.

The below behaviours are prohibited:

  • Any discussion pertaining to LP gains, MMR, teammates or matchmaking.
  • Posting screenshots highlighting your teammates poor performance.
  • Venting – We understand that League is a difficult and emotional taxing game, however the Academy discord is not the place to complain or let your frustration out.
  • Rank shaming. Everyone is at a different stage in their ranked journey and come from vastly different gaming backgrounds. This has a major influence on how quickly people climb the ranked ladder.

Server Integrity

Our goal is to maintain a positive and productive server, and we reserve the right to remove posts and restrict a user’s Discord privileges depending on the severity of infractions.

These infractions could include but are not limited to:

  • Political or religious discussions and argumentative behaviour
  • NSFW content
  • Toxic in-game behaviour
  • Disrespect of other members
  • Boosting and account sharing
  • Self-promotion of YouTube, Twitch or other social media
  • Advertising of private coaching. Peer reviews are allowed and encouraged within the discord, however advertising of personal or any paid coaching is strictly prohibited

This applies whether you’re in a text or voice channel. If you wouldn’t type it in one of the text channels or say it with a WTL Coach present, don’t say it at all.

Admittedly, it is hard to moderate voice channels, so if you are in one and you feel that someone is breaking these rules, please relay your concerns to WTL Staff by opening a ticket in the 📩︱support-ticket channel.
