My audio cuts out when I get into a game?

Are you using a Bluetooth audio device? Try setting your default audio input device to another device. If you cannot do this, a temporary work around is to connect your device after loading screen begins.

Recorder Issues

My game recorded as a black screen

  • Are on a laptop and/or does your CPU have integrated graphics? Please reach out on Discord in the 📹 | auto-recorder channel with your version of Windows (10 or 11) for the steps to fix this.
  • Are on a desktop? Try running the Auto Recorder as Administrator. Next, try updating your graphics card drivers. Ensure the folder you’re recording to is located on a disk with at least 15-20% of its storage free.
  • Are you running OBS at the same time as the Auto Recorder? This may cause conflicts because the Auto Recorder uses OBS to record.

You have two options to resolve this

  1. Try enabling the experimental recorder in the Auto Recorder settings. This is a separate recording method that does not use OBS.
  2. Try changing your OBS capture method off of “Game Capture”.

My recording consists of just the loading screen

In 99% of cases this is caused by having RivaTuner and/or MSI Afterburner installed. If you wish to keep these installed, the only solution is to try enabling the experimental recorder. This is because the traditional recorder uses OBS to record which conflicts with these applications.

My game did not record at all

Do you have an antivirus installed? Please reach out on Discord in the 📹 | auto-recorder channel for steps to solve this with your version of Windows (10 or 11).

Uploader Issues

  • Are you located in Europe or Australia? If so, the upload servers located there occasionally go down. Please reach out in the auto-recorder channel on Discord.
  • Ensure that your upload speed isn’t being bottlenecked; you can verify this through an online speed test. Generally speaking, at least 2Mbps of upload is required to upload a VOD.
  • Are you on a school or business internet connection? If so, the network configuration may be blocking requests to the platform.
