1. What type of game should I bring?
- Wins and losses are both good to review. From our experience, you can learn just as much from wins.
- Games that have confusing or uncomfortable moments.
- It is okay to bring vods that you have no specific points to address.
2. Can I bring normal games for review?
Yes you can. Normal games are great for learning a new champion.
3. Are smurf games ok?
A “smurf” is an account that is over 500 LP / MMR below your main account rank.
Example: Platinum IV plays on a Silver I account. This is a smurf.
You should only be playing on a lower ranked account to learn new champions or role. If this is your intention, then yes you can bring it to a coaching session.
4. Do you review competitive games / scrims?
Yes, but the Academy programs are focused more on solo queue.
5. After signing up when is it my turn?
Coaching order is decided by time since last review, NOT first come first serve.
6. How long does a single review go for?
The average review length for top, mid, adc and support is 30mins, for jungle it is 15mins.
7. Can I still attend and listen if I don’t have a VOD?
Yes, you can simply join and sit in the channel with your microphone muted.
Coaching sessions are a great way to see what mistakes your peers are making that you can relate to. No-one’s problems are unique to them.
8. If I’m not the person getting coached can I still ask questions?
The WTL Coach may prompt at the end of each review if anyone else has questions.
You can do this via voice or the 🏆| coaching-chat channel
This is highly encouraged as most of the time your question will be the same as others.
9. What if I can’t attend any of the session times?
The session times are selected based on popularity. Most of our members are from NA / EU so we mainly accommodate for these time zones.
As the programs grow, we will add more coaches to run sessions at a greater selection of times.
