At what point in the ranked journey should I get coaching?
You don’t need to wait until you hit a certain rank to start coaching — players at any stage of their ranked journey can benefit.
A lot of people believe you need to already be high elo before it’s “worth it,” but that’s simply not true. If anything, the earlier you start, the faster you’ll build the right habits and avoid common mistakes.
Think about traditional sports: kids start working with coaches from a very young age to learn fundamentals. League is no different — whether you’re new to the game or pushing for Challenger, structured guidance can speed up your progress and give you clarity on what to work on next.
What kind of coaching does the Jungle Academy offer?
The Jungle Academy focuses on fast paced, practical, personalized coaching that’s included in your membership.
Coaching is delivered through 1-on-1 VOD reviews in a group setting, meaning you’ll get direct feedback on your own games from a coach.
Sessions run multiple times per day for 1-2 hours, giving you plenty of opportunities to join. When it’s your turn, the coach will go through one of your games in detail for about 20 minutes, breaking down the match and giving you a learning objective—so you know exactly what to work on.
On average, members can expect to receive coaching every 7-10 days, while still gaining value from content, #vod-questions, and watching others’ reviews in between. This consistent cycle of feedback, combined with champion guides, fundamentals courses, and the community, ensures you’re always moving forward in your ranked journey.
How do I know if I need to get coaching?
You don’t need to wait for some “perfect” moment to get coaching — as long as you are willing to put in some effort and come in with an open mind, coaching can speed up your climb and make the ranked journey more fun and rewarding.

Do I have to be a high rank to benefit from coaching?
Not at all — you don’t need to be high rank to get value out of coaching. In fact, some of the biggest improvements happen at lower ranks, because there are so many knowledge gaps to fill and habits to learn.
A common misconception is that coaching is only for ‘high-elo’ players, but the truth is that anyone, from brand-new players to experienced veterans, can accelerate their progress with the right guidance.
Coaching helps you fix mistakes faster, gain clarity on where to direct your attention, and develop good habits no matter where you’re starting from.
Do I have to play a lot to benefit from coaching?
No, you don’t have to play an insane amount of games to see results from coaching. At We Teach League we promote playing with intensity, which often means playing less.
We generally recommend playing at least 15 games per week, with 20+ being ideal, since the more you play, the faster you can apply what you learn. But even if you only manage around 3 games a day, that’s plenty — we’ve had players reach Master+ with that level of commitment.
And if you play less than that, coaching still makes a big difference. It helps you maximize the value of every single game, so instead of mindlessly queuing, you’ll go in with a clear plan, focus on the right things, and see steady progress no matter how much time you have.
Do I need to attend the coaching sessions to get results?
No — you don’t have to attend the coaching sessions to get value. Many members have climbed multiple divisions just by following the champion guides, fundamentals courses, and other resources inside the Academy.
That said, coaching is by far the fastest way to improve and climb, since it gives you personalized feedback and a clear roadmap for fixing your mistakes.
Where is the coaching held and how do I access the content?
All of our coaching takes place in a private Discord server, where you’ll join live sessions and be able to interact with both coaches and other members. That’s also where you’ll submit your VODs when it’s your turn for review.
The rest of the Academy content — champion guides, fundamentals courses, and resources — is hosted directly on our website. Once you sign up, you’ll get a login that gives you full access to everything.
What if I play a champion that doesn't have a guide?
That’s not a problem at all. Even if your specific champion doesn’t have a dedicated guide yet, you’ll still get a ton of value from the coaching sessions, since the coaches are experienced across all mid lane champions.
On top of that, the Academy has a large library of fundamentals videos and coaching VODs that apply to every champ, covering things like wave management, trading, resets etc. There are also plenty of reviews on champions that don’t currently have guides, so you’ll still find relevant examples to learn from.
Will I still get value if I'm an OTP or play weird off-meta picks?
Yes — you’ll still get a lot of value, even if you’re an OTP or playing something off-meta.
If you’re an OTP, coaching helps you squeeze the most out of your champion and spot mistakes you might overlook on your own. And if you’re running off-meta picks, the focus is on teaching you universal mid lane skills.
At the end of the day, good fundamentals + a clear identity with your champion = improvement, regardless of how popular or unusual your pick is.
What if I don't want to come to the coaching sessions?
If you don’t feel ready to join a coaching session, whether you’re nervous or don’t think you’re ready—that’s completely fine. You can still get value by using the #vod-questions channel in Discord, where you can post clips and receive feedback from coaches without being put on the spot.
On top of that, you’ll have full access to all the Academy content and can always watch other people’s reviews to learn from their mistakes and improvements. Even just lurking in sessions provides a ton of insight.
While we believe everyone is ready for coaching, you’ll still make great progress through these other avenues until you feel comfortable jumping in.
Can I join if I play jungle as an off-role?
Am I allowed to join multiple We Teach League academies?
Yes — you can join as many Academies as you’d like. Every additional Academy you join after your first comes at half price, making it easier to improve at your off-role or just experiment.
